In addition to speaking and writing for academic circles, I also enjoy working with public venues.
From 2019 to 2022 I served as an editor for Musicology Now, the public online platform for the American Musicological Society. I curated and edited the roundtable "Sounds of Social Justice," with contributions on Yvette Janine Jackson's opera The Coding via podcast with Neil Verma, Ukraine's pianos during wartime by Adriana Helbig, and Peter Pan and audiovisual representation of US indigenous cultures by Victoria Lyndsay Levine.
Throughout the North Carolina region I have given talks at local universities on music, film/media, and Russian studies, and have given pre-concert talks at the Greensboro Symphony since 2009.
